About the Author
Ramsey Dabby is Chief Architect for the New York City Fire Department and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Architecture at New York City College of Technology (CUNY). He is a registered architect in New York and New Jersey with forty years of architectural experience in the private and public sectors.
Ashwani Bedi is a Structural Engineer with the New York City Department of Design and Construction and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Structures at both New York City College of Technology (CUNY) and New York University. In addition to being a professional engineer in New York, New Jersey, and Maryland, he is also a Chartered Engineer in India. He has more than twenty years of varied engineering experience with acclaimed national and international consulting firms in the fields of structural design, CAD, and computer-aided analysis.

Loved this book! Loved Dabby as a professor.

This was the clearest presentation of Structures for architecture students that I had found among several different texts. Some were more calculus-based, which works for some, but this was conceptually based and conducive to visual learning. I had him as professor and absolutely loved the class but unfortunately lost the book to a borrower who never returned it.

Extremely Helpful for Architects

Took a course taught by Ashwani for the Structural Systems portion of the ARE exam. The instruction during the course was fantastic. As a soon to be registered architect, not only did I feel well prepared for the exam, but I also feel much more confident in my career.

I was struggling with this subject matter under a professor that insisted on using complicated methods. Use this book and you'll survive structures.
